I made two cakes this weekend, both with a 20 cm diameter. I filled one with two layers after-eight filling and one with a layer bokkepootjes-filling. (Is there an English word for bokkepootjes? I dunno. It’s a delicious cookie with cream, chocolate and almonds.) Both fillings are delicious!
After church friends of my parents and their four kids came over for some decorating and tasting.. I covered the bokkepootjes cake white fondant, de other with pink fondant M made with her red colorant. After that it was time to decorate with five kids: my brother J(11), and C (9), W(8), S (8) and R (7, if I’m correct). It was a mess and every one was covered with fondant en mazipan in stead of the cake, but we had so much fun! It are real kidscakes and that’s the most important thing.
My dad made more pictures and posted them on his blog. Just follow the link to see them!

Great. Like it!
R is 6.
my lunch today was a piece of cake….the bokkepootjes one
I think you are doing great!
And you even have a smoothing tool! I don’t even have one yet (still on my ‘just-need-to-have-that-thing’ list).
Isn’t it fun?!?
I fear I infected you with a verry addictive hobby!
Greetings,
Mark-Jörg
